Canalith guides

Three practical how-tos, written for the parts of living with vertigo that nobody covers: what to change in the rooms you use, what to do in the thirty seconds an episode is happening, and how to walk into an appointment with everything the clinician will ask for. The blog explains what is going on; these guides are about what to do.

None of these guides is medical advice, and none replaces an examination. Vertigo has many causes and telling them apart is a clinical job. If vertigo comes on suddenly with any of double vision, weakness or numbness on one side, trouble speaking, swallowing or walking, a severe or unusual headache, or new hearing loss in one ear, treat it as urgent and seek emergency care.
